Golf Buddies ⛳️

Today I played golf with Bob. He has a grandson that golfs. Makes me hope even more that you will golf so we can have a family activity together. Mom can go and get dressed up to hang out with us.

This the signature hole at Oak Quarry. I got a bogey, but could have done better. Not the best day, but if you golf, you’ll learn that any day golfing is better than not golfing…

Daddy Break

You’re daddy free again for 3 days. Except this time you have the daycare open and Ong Ba here. How are you gonna do? I hope well. I don’t like to worry extra while I’m gone.

I don’t know if it’s better for you to enjoy golf, but be bad at it or to be good at it, but hate it…Hopefully, you will be able to enjoy it and be good. It’s a really good opportunity for you and I to bond and allow mom free time. Think about it…

High Hill 🏔️ 🍎

Today was our first trip as a family to Apple Hill. Unfortunately, it had to be cut short to go to mass. At least you got to go to the gym today as well. I heard you weren’t good in church…

Was it because you didn’t nap or because I wasn’t there or something else? We still got a lot to do when it comes to getting you to be the best kid ever. You’re pretty good, but still have room for improvement. One, stop hitting your parents…

Sorry you didn’t get to go to a wedding today. But at least you got to spend time at the park, with your grandparents, and napped. Sorry I can’t go to church with you. Hope you’re okay with mom by yourself.

Everyone asked about you today. Hopefully, mom wool allow you to come by later. Apparently, Sophie had no one to beat up. Www.

Back to Good

It seems like you’re back to your old self at daycare drop-off and pick-up. However, you seem to be a little more naughty when it comes to your behavior outside of daycare. Today you threw a piece of chicken Ong fed you and said Vinh funny. Ong playfully tapped you, but it’s not funny.

I wanted to smack you for reals or put you in time out, but I was afraid your grandparents would say I’m too harsh. They’re only gonna be here for another month, so please enjoy them. They love you and will be sad when they go…

Noo Noo

I’m can’t tell if you enjoyed the food or were too full from pre dinner with grandma, but we went to a new restaurant today. Your aunty Jehan recommended it, 8 hour ramen. It wasn’t bad, but I’m not sure if your mom will want to go back.

Your grandpa said he wanted soup and then wanted to order dry noodles. We will take everyone back to Kajiken next time. Thanks for behaving. I can’t tell if you’re too big for the portable high chair now…

Innocence

You’re not aware of the world outside yet. At least not all the bad stuff or big picture. I wish we could protect you forever, but we can’t. Because of that, we will try to hold it off, but will need to eventually let you develop the tools to address it for yourself.

In the meantime, enjoy it while you can. Each day is a blessing and a new opportunity to make the most of it. Sorry I had to wake you up today, but we need to get going. Thanks for eating with grandma.

Election 🗳️ Day

Some day you’ll get to vote. Don’t let anyone tell you your vote doesn’t matter. It does. How much it matters is up for debate. One of the things that made me not want to have kids was because I was worried about the state of the world. And that was before I knew about Trump as president.

Since then, our world has been moved to extremes and I seriously now worry about what kind of world you will be left with. I’m not sure what impact I can have to change the world or how much tonight’s results will change the trajectory of your future world. I’m just gonna pray for the best and hopefully provide you with the tools to deal with whatever comes your way. 🙏 

Another Day

Are you closer to normal? I wonder if maybe there’s something else going on that makes you so clingy…At least there was progress today and you cried going into Miss Bailey’s arms rather than not going.

At least they got a smile out of you today. So maybe that’s something to look forward to tomorrow and beyond. The holidays are coming so you will spend more time with family, but you still need to be prepared for the time away. So it’s not hard on you…and us…

Attention

It looks like we can’t leave you unattended all the time. We need to watch you more carefully now. That way you don’t hurt yourself or do something we don’t want you to do.

Fortunately, the vote doesn’t really matter currently in California. You also drew a little on your hand. Mommy can wash it off for you when you take a bath today.

And daylight savings. Maybe this will help reset your behavior. You’ve been really off this week and we don’t know why. I don’t think you’re sick or anything, but maybe you got a bug.

Praying it goes away by Monday as we really want you to be your awesome self. Your grandparents haven’t gotten to see Boba Chop at his best and I’m hoping you show up for them soon. 🙏

For your sake it’s extra beneficial. Hopefully, it won’t reset your acclimation back to daycare next week. The extra time you’ll have with your parents after today. We really need you to be okay with your routine again soon.

We can’t have you clinging to us like you did yesterday before your haircut. I’m not sure what Aunty Jenn is doing, but maybe it is that you’re not afraid of us. I’ve always believed fear was the best motivator, but I wish it didn’t have to be…
