The Bacs

You got to spend time with some of your Bacs today. Bac Nga, Bac Minh and Bac Art. They’re all so nice to you as are most people. You’re been pretty not nice lately so you really need to rein that in. People aren’t going to put up with it and you’ll ruin future relationships.

Who’s gonna buy and cut fruit for you besides mommy? I wish you knew how lucky you are. It really is that old saying, “if only I knew what I know now, when I was younger…”

Foggy Saturday

You like fog? 🌫️ It could be scary. Not sure if that’s why my golf game sucked today too, but I’d always rather be golfing than not golfing I think. Although it was pretty bad in Santa Barbara.

Haven’t had a chance to chat with you or mom, but we did get you signed up for Phan Phamily gift exchange for Christmas. I know you don’t need anything, but it’s more for me to not feel pressure to find gifts for all your cousins even though I don’t need to. They’re good people, it’s not the money, it’s the stress and effort. Try when you can to remove stress from your life as long as it doesn’t transfer the stress to others…

Black Friday

Wonder if this will still be a thing for you when you’re old enough to understand and possibly participate in consumerism. Lesson. Keep a list of things you kind of want or need in advance so you can buy it when there’s a deal. 

We got tires for your Tesla. I got golf balls for myself. Your Bac Nga got a new deck for her “monster truck”. Good job taking the initiative on decorating the tree. Make sure you’re a “good guy” so Santa will bring you presents. 🎁 

Thanksgiving

We should learn to be thankful everyday, but in case you forgot, remember today. You have all the basic necessities and you got lots of bonuses.

I’m thankful that you’re healthy, smart, and people love you. I’m thankful that you love me the most, but I would trade that in for you to eat and sleep on your own. But I’m still thankful. 

Wild Wednesdays

Is that they call discounts for golf on Wednesdays. It’s Friday night as I’m catching up on posts, sorry. I do have a picture of crab Uncle Peter made for us. It’s too bad you can’t enjoy it cause it’s spicy…

I wonder if Grandpa will be able to eat it. I know I’m always telling you how blessed you are. I hope you learn that before you take it for granted and lose it. That’s how it is with life. Don’t lose something and then realize it was great…

My Gym Tuesdays

Sorry you didn’t get to go yesterday, but it was really your choice. So it was really important that I delayed my mini reunion until a little later…

Sometimes I wonder why we keep paying for the My Gym when you don’t always participate or listen, but you do get enough benefit so I think we have to just suck it up. We’re also gonna start spanking you so it doesn’t become abuse…consequences.

Thanks for being awake when I picked you up, but you should really be sleeping more. I know you can’t do a lot, but napping is just a little bit of sleep. You won’t always be able to sleep in longer in the morning so you really need to sleep earlier and take advantage of your naps…
